Youth Jiu-Jitsu
Fort Washington Youth Jiu-Jitsu
FWU integrates both grappling and striking into all of our martial arts. Our grappling program uses both wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The fundamentals of BJJ give students the confidence to close with, control an opponent, and subdue them, using holds and joint locks.
About our Youth Jiu-Jitsu Program:
• Classes taught from a sporting (competition focused) as well as self defense perspective.
• Gi class teaches chokes and holds using the Gi uniform.
• No-Gi class teaches chokes and holds using the body rather than grasping uniform.
• Students who excel are selected for Jiu Jitsu competition team.
