Summer Camp 2026 – Program Overview

This year, Fort Washington United is excited to offer two primary program tracks:

STEM (Robotics) and Art (Physical & Digital).

Students will choose one track for their week or program.

Our STEM program focuses on robotics, including both foundational systems and advanced AI-enabled robots. Students may enroll in individual weekly robotics camps, where they will learn coding fundamentals, build and program robots using LEGO SPIKE Prime, and complete structured challenges.

For students seeking a more advanced experience, we offer structured 4-week and 8-week Advanced Robotics Programs, which follow a progressive curriculum and allow students to work with more advanced systems.

To better understand the advanced robotics platforms used in this program, please see the example below:

In addition to robotics, students may choose our Art Track, which includes both physical and digital art. Students can participate in individual weeks or enroll in structured multi-week programs designed to build toward completed work and portfolios.

All campers also participate in martial arts training, academic enrichment in math and reading, weekly field trips, water park outings, and Friday presentations.

Robotics Program Weekly Breakdown

Robots 101: June 22–26
Students begin with the fundamentals of robotics and coding by building a Driving Base robot using LEGO SPIKE Prime and completing a navigation challenge.

Robots 102: July 6–10
Students build a line-following delivery robot and learn how sensors allow robots to navigate automatically.

Robots 103: July 13–17
Students explore motor control and timing by programming a Breakdancer robot and creating a robot dance routine.

Robots 104: July 20–24
Students build an interactive Game Master robot and learn conditional logic through simple robotic games.

Robots 201: July 27–31
Students build Kiki the Robot Dog and program it to react to movement and environmental input.

Robots 202: August 3–7
Students use collision sensors to design reactive robot behaviors with the Rhino robot.

Robots 203: August 10–14
Students build a color-sorting robot and explore automation and real-world robotics systems.

Robots 204: August 17–22
Students build a walking Penguin robot and explore mechanical engineering and motion systems.
